PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)

Materials

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a high polymer composed of repeating units containing one ketone bond and two ether bonds in the main chain structure. It belongs to a class of specialty high-performance polymers. PEEK exhibits excellent properties such as high-temperature resistance and resistance to chemical corrosion, making it a semi-crystalline high-performance material. It has a melting point of 334°C, a softening point of 168°C, and a tensile strength of 132-148 MPa. PEEK can be used as a high-temperature structural material and electrical insulating material. It can also be compounded with glass fiber or carbon fiber to prepare reinforced materials.
